How I spend money and How I plan to spend it in the future

Right now I'm in a time in my life where my only job and priority is school, so basically most of my money is either from my parents or money I happen to find on the ground. I'm not a big spender but I don't save every dollar I have either. I'm more of a neutral spender. I love to shop but I'm not going to break the bank; I know how to control my self. I usually only by stuff on sell or if I really need it.

Every since I was younger my parents always taught me the motto " save half, spend half", and now since I'm older I have taken those words to heart and instilled them in me. If I receive for example forty bucks. I will spend twenty dollars and save the other twenty, probably putting it in my savings accounts. To me this is one of the best techniques you could follow because you get to spend and save money at the same time without going completely broke.

As I get older I will continue this method, except instead of spending half I will probably spend less. I hope as I get older I will discover new ways to save money but still be able to enjoy the luxury of money as well;have an equel balence. If I'm able to that I will feel that's one goal crossed of my list.

Re:" The only things for sure in life are death and taxes

"The only things for sure in life are death and taxes" is a very true statement. One day were all going to die at some point in our lives and Taxes are here to stay. However, even though these things are a guarantee , it's not the most important thing to think about and there is more to life. Life is about learning who you are and what kind of person you want to become, it's about given back to help someone who really needs you, learning from your mistakes, enjoying the moments alone or with you family, making a difference for the better good of this earth, having dreams and achieving them, and believing in things that can't be seen and exploring the so called "impossible". Yes, Life is not always fair. Yes, Life can be full of hurt and pain. And yes Life can get you down, but in the end Life is worth it and worth living. Sure, death and taxes are a guarantee, but so are many other things.

How does what you do outside of work affect your job or career?

I am a strong believer that what ever outside behavior you do outside of work, can have negative consequences in the end. In my fifteen years of living , I have seen dozens of famous people, athletes, and people in power, do jail time and lose jobs because of their unprofessional and eye catching behavior outside of work. Micheal Phipps smoking marijuana loses endorsement from Kellogg's, Kwanyme Killpatrick goes to jail for lying about text messages and Marion Jones takes drugs and loses all her medals ,are just a few examples of how behavior outside of work can affect you negatively.
Now, I'm not saying that it's fair, Whatever you do outside of work should be your business but in the end if you are caught, you have to pay the price. Especially in a world were technology rules everything and is everywhere, you have to be cautions of the way you put yourself out there. You have to admit, you wouldn't want to have a picture of one of your employees doing drugs, it makes you and your company look bad.
